Products & Purchasing
Where does the marijuana come from?
Native Sun is currently working to renovate a 70,0000 square foot facility in Fitchburg. When that facility is operational, we intend to supply our stores with our in-house products that are grown, produced and manufactured by Native Sun. Until then, we will be working with many of the fine cannabis wholesale suppliers in Massachusetts and stocking our shelves with their products until we can also supplement our menu with our own products alongside the wholesale products.
What are concentrates?
Concentrates are products made from the cannabis plant that have been processed to keep only the most desirable plant compounds (primarily the cannabinoids and terpenes), while removing excess plant material and other impurities. Ounce for ounce, marijuana concentrates like wax or shatter have a greater proportion of cannabinoids and terpenes when compared to natural cannabis flowers. The effects last between 1 - 3 hours, depending on the person
What are topicals?
Topicals are cannabis-infused lotions, balms, and oils that are absorbed through the skin for localized relief of pain, soreness, and inflammation. Because they’re non-intoxicating, topicals are often chosen by people who want the therapeutic benefits of marijuana without the cerebral euphoria associated with other delivery methods. Other transdermal innovations are fast arriving in the cannabis market, including long-lasting patches and tingly lubricants for patients and recreational consumers alike.
What are edibles?
Marijuana edibles are cannabis-infused food products that offer delayed (yet extended) effects. Offering a tasty alternative to smoking or vaporizing cannabis, marijuana edibles are food and beverage products that have been infused with cannabis. Consumers who enjoy marijuana edibles typically prefer the extended and more intense effects that they offer compared to other types of marijuana products. The effects kick in after about an hour and last between six and eight hours, depending on the person, with peak THC levels reaching the bloodstream between three and four hours after ingesting.
How much cannabis can I purchase?
According to state law, retailers can only sell up to an ounce of marijuana or five grams of marijuana concentrate in a given transaction. That’s the same amount a person can legally possess in public, but you can have up to 10 ounces at home. Recreational edibles can only have up to five milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, per single serving. And if multiple servings are sold together, the total package can’t have more than 20 single servings, or 100 milligrams of THC. Click to see more about Massachusetts Mariuana laws and penalties.
What forms of payment do you accept? Are you cash only?
Native Sun is cash only. For your convenience, we have ATMs onsite, but service fees may apply
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. No returns will be accepted.
Do you ever run sales or promotions?
It is currently illegal under Massachusetts law to offer discounts, sales, promotions, or deals of adult-use cannabis.
Consumption
Where am I allowed to consume recreational marijuana products?
Consuming marijuana or marijuana products in a public place is prohibited. Smoking marijuana in an area where smoking tobacco is prohibited is also prohibited. The civil penalty for consuming marijuana in public or smoking marijuana where smoking tobacco is prohibited is up to $100. Cities and towns may pass bylaws or ordinances authorizing social consumption in certain areas. Consumption of marijuana is limited to adults over 21, with limited, specific medical exceptions.
What are the different types of marijuana? How strong are they?
